April Salas is the operations coordinator for custodial services and waste management. Her responsibilities include reviewing and maintaining all essential documentation, department support, reports, and daily administrative duties.

Early Childhood Education employee virtual information session
Tune in to learn more about the District’s early childhood tuition-based education opportunities, including our partnership with local child development centers, Together We Can (TWC), and Prekindergarten for 3 and 4 year olds.
Affordable Housing Information Sessions
Round Rock ISD partners with the Texas Housing Foundation for exclusive employee rental assistance and subsidies* at four Round Rock and Austin area apartment complexes.
Discounted Summer Camps for Round Rock ISD employees
District staff can receive a 15% discount when registering their child(ren) in Round Rock ISD’s summer enrichment activity camps. Students do not have to attend Round Rock ISD schools to participate in camps.
In-person and virtual camps are held Monday through Thursday, beginning the first week of June, with availability through the end of July. Select from half-day camps, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (some weeks) and full-day camps, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., located at England, Herrington, Teravista elementary schools, and Pearson Ranch Middle School.

Employee Spotlight: Faye Johnson
Meet Faye Johnson, our teen parent homebound teacher. In her role, Faye supports our teen parents by creating an environment conducive to learning. She collects assignments from teachers, delivers assignments to the student, introduces new concepts, returns completed assignments, assists students with assignments, proctors exams, provides weekly updates, assists with the care of infants as needed, and encourages students to reach their goals. Faye has been employed in the teen parent program for over ten years – starting in 2013.
