April Salas is the operations coordinator for custodial services and waste management. Her responsibilities include reviewing and maintaining all essential documentation, department support, reports, and daily administrative duties. April ensures the District has the custodial staff needed to maintain the cleanliness and standards of our buildings. She in in charge of interviewing and hiring custodians and providing orientation and training for staff. Additionally, she oversees the district’s waste management program.
April has been employed in the district for the last 12 consecutive years with the Custodial Services Department. Prior to joining Round Rock ISD, April was a Headstart Program teacher and an advocate in the prenatal care program. She worked with families to get them back on their feet, or give them a voice to be heard.
Outside of work, April enjoys arts and crafts and spending quality time with her husband and three children.
