Technology educators graduate with 4.0 from Masters of Education program
Congratulations to Round Rock ISD Instructional Technology Specialists Katie Leining at Walsh Middle School, Shannon Sieber at Pearson Ranch Middle School, Jesse Sosa at Live Oak Elementary School, and Alayna Stoll at Purple Sage Elementary School. This team of four instructional superstars earned their Master of Education in Educational Technology and Innovation from Concordia University Texas. All four completed the degree plan with a 4.0 Grade Point Average (GPA).

You can stop browsing Pinterest and scrolling Instagram for tasty, healthy recipes. Instead, visit Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas’s free online recipe site to find delicious, easy-to-follow recipes, helpful nutrition tips, and food preparation videos. Round Rock ISD employees enrolled in the BCBSTX District benefits plan can get nutrition questions answered when they log in to “ask a dietician.” Preparing meals at home promotes healthy eating by avoiding processed packaged, oversalted, and fat-saturated restaurant foods.

Community Relations recently emailed the 2022 Employee Service Awards Dinner invite to staff with 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 years of service in Round Rock ISD and staff who have submitted their TRS retirement notification.

Employee childcare program open enrollment begins April 18
Round Rock ISD’s Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) department is pleased to announce upcoming spring enrollment for the “Together We Can” (TWC) tuition based childcare program for District employees. If you have a child aged 3 or 4 by September 1, 2022, he/she may be eligible to participate in this program.
SurgeryPlus offers employees surgical support
Employees enrolled in the District’s health care program have access to SurgeryPlus. SurgeryPlus is a supplemental benefit offered by Round Rock ISD for planned, non-emergency surgeries that provides a dedicated Care Advocate as well as access to quality care through a network of credentialed health care providers. By using the SurgeryPlus benefit, you may be able to save money through waived deductibles and coinsurance.
Texas Education Code changes English Language Learners to Emergent Bilingual
The Round Rock ISD Bilingual and ESL programs department, part of State and Federal services, is changing its name to Emergent Bilingual Programs. The change results from the passing of Texas Senate Bill 2066, which replaced the term “Limited English Proficient” with “Emergent Bilingual” in the Texas Education Code.
New name, more great student opportunities
Round Rock ISD’s community education and enrichment departments have merged. Together, their new name is Enrichment, and they are part of Future Readiness.
Round Rock ISD and United Way partner to offer Pre-K for eligible 3-year olds
The State and Federal Programs Department is excited to announce a Pre-K3 partnership between Round Rock ISD and the United Way for Greater Austin. The partnership provides eligible 3-year-old students (and their families) with a comprehensive and cohesive play-based, early childhood Prekindergarten program.
