It’s election season again and state and local political campaigns are kicking into high gear. In advance of the upcoming election season, the District is providing a reminder of the guidelines all District employees and officers must abide by during this time. Round Rock ISD encourages and actively supports its employees in our civic obligation to vote and we understand that many of our employees are engaged in a variety of civics, activism, and politics in our community, state, and country.

District safety and security upgraded through TEA grant

Staff and student safety is a Round Rock ISD top priority. It’s essential that students and staff feel safe so they can concentrate, enjoy learning and achieve great things.

The District used grant dollars awarded by TEA to upgrade safety and security. All of the District’s elementary and middle schools had Ballistic proof film installed on the glass of front doors and windows. Other upgrades include more security cameras, fencing, and software service that keeps track of students’ online interactions and activities.

YOU Well-being survey results identify Round Rock ISD employees’ top needs

In May, we asked staff to offer input into what they wanted and needed from the YOU employee Well-being program. Round Rock ISD’s YOU Well-being program provides employee education and activities that promote a healthy lifestyle and workplace culture. Physical, mental, social, and financial well-being needs are the four parts of YOU.

Thank you to the staff who participated in our YOU survey. Your critical feedback will guide our continuing efforts to construct a program designed especially for YOU. Successful health and well-being programs benefit everyone. And we recognize that our employee’s well-being is vital to the success and an integral part of our organization’s culture.

Theme for 2022-2023: “It Starts With Us”

Rooted in our Round Rock ISD values to Include All, Invest in Growth, and Inspire Action, we’ve adopted “It Starts With Us” as our theme for the 2022-2023 school year.

As a member of the Round Rock ISD team, you play an essential role in the lives of our students. And it starts with ALL of us – teachers, educational assistants, custodians, food service workers, counselors, nurses, office staff, librarians, human resources, operations, safety and security, administrators, technology, and transportation to provide a stable, welcoming learning environment where students develop crucial life skills.

“It Starts With Us” clearly and consistently encapsulates our District’s unified cause to support and serve students, putting them at the core of our decisions and actions.
