Round Rock ISD applies for Teacher Incentive Allotment designation
HR Services continues to work through the application process to become a local designation system for the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA). TIA was created by House Bill 3 (86R) to keep highly effective teachers in the classroom by significantly raising their salaries. The 2023-2024 academic year is the first phase of our path to fully implementing the TIA Designation System. This is a data collection year for our initial cohort of teachers. Round Rock ISD has adopted a phase-in approach to TIA, starting with Kindergarten, first, and second-grade teachers at nine Strategic and Increased Support elementary campuses for the 2023-2024 school year.

Lisa Marie Rosales has been with the District for eight years. She has held various roles on campuses and at the central administration office and is now the District’s Teacher Recruiter. Lisa Marie has a passion for connecting talented educators with campuses where they can make the most impact.

Usually, you hear people using the term self-care as a tactic to overcome fatigue or negativity. Digital overload, traffic, financial stresses, family, and work demands are all valid reasons for a person to unplug and disengage occasionally. But have you considered preventive healthcare as self-care? Taking care of your health is self-care in its most accurate form.

Employee Spotlight | Melissa Vasquez, Gifted and Advanced Academic Services
Melissa Vasquez is one of the Coordinators for Gifted and Advanced Academic Services. In her role, Melissa works primarily with elementary groups including ETAGS, cluster teachers, PYP coordinators, and elementary AVID. She coordinates elementary gifted identification and services, elementary examination for acceleration, and elementary program compliance monitoring. She also maintains the Gifted Program manual and coordinates gifted and talented elementary summer programming and testing.
Results are in for District’s 110 anniversary logo
The results are in! With nearly 65% of the vote, the “Gold ribbon with years” logo was chosen to represent the District’s upcoming 110th birthday on May 17, 2023.
Employee Spotlight | Gloria Evans, CTE Specialist
It’s Career and Technical Education Month, so let’s get to know CTE Specialist Gloria Evans. Gloria supports CTE teachers across the District who teach business/marketing/finance, audio visual production, automotive, drone aviation, health science and work based learning. Gloria’s teacher support ranges from assisting with curriculum resources, certifications, onboarding or just being a listening ear.
Round Rock ISD Payroll Department launches new Extra Duty Pay Request Portal
Our Payroll Department is happy to announce the launch of a new electronic platform for the submission of Extra Duty Pay Request forms. This new district process will make the form submission experience timelier and easier for everyone involved.
Effective today, Monday, February 6, 2023, you will be able to submit Extra Duty Pay Request forms online using the Informed K12 platform. Paper forms will no longer be accepted.

Employee badges show you belong
Employee badges allow the District to determine who should or shouldn’t have access to certain areas of your campus and buildings. And they also serve as an important visual safety clue for you and your co-workers. Visible badges help improve campus security by letting others know whether or not an individual belongs in the building.
