Your no cost preventive care benefits when using in-District providers
Maximize your health benefits by utilizing NO COST preventive care services. These services comprise regular health check-ups and screenings for common illnesses, which can prevent additional health problems and reduce future expenses. For preventive care services, Round Rock ISD benefit plans provide full coverage for in-network office visits and lab tests. Preventive services from an out-of-network provider are subject to any applicable deductible and coinsurance.
2023 Employee Service Awards Recognize Years of Service, Retirees
Community Relations emailed the 2023 Round Rock ISD Employee Service Awards Dinner invitation to staff members with 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 years of service in the District and those who submitted their TRS retirement notification. Honorees are welcome to bring one guest.
Round Rock ISD school policing model draws national interest
The Round Rock ISD Police Department has attracted the interest of other school safety and mental health agencies due to their groundbreaking method of school policing. Their pioneering four-pillar approach to school policing prioritizes equitable and impartial student advocacy, resulting in a more secure and inclusive campus community. This model is leading the way in reforming school policing and is a popular topic of discussion at state and national safety and mental health conferences.
Custodial teams receive awards for excellence
Congratulations to the custodial teams at Union Hill Elementary School, Pearson Ranch Middle School, and Cedar Ridge High School. They received DIS.IN.FX – Germ Expert’s “Essentially Clean Award” for their outstanding work during the second quarter of the 2022-2023 school year, keeping students and faculty safe and healthy—Round Rock ISD partners with DIS.IN.FX – Germ Experts for high-level antimicrobial mitigation at our District’s 56 campuses and facilities.

We know. You get asked to fill out a lot of surveys. It’s because we care what you have to say. Really, we do. Last October, we asked that you take the UpBeat survey. We told you that we’d ask you to complete the survey again in the Spring. Well, here we are. It’s Spring.
Employee childcare program offers 20 convenient locations
Round Rock ISD’s Together We Can (TWC) childcare program provides Round Rock ISD employees with preschool-age children on-site* childcare. Childcare is provided daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and aligns with the teacher service calendar. Tuition includes a pre-tax payroll deduction of $640 per month with a $200 non-refundable deposit due at enrollment.
TTU Teacher Incentive Allotment Survey opens in April
Round Rock ISD is continuing to work through the application process to become a local designation system for the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA). As a part of the application process, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) administers a survey to all teachers employed by the District, which is designed to gauge teachers’ perceptions, understanding and support for their local teacher designation system. Teachers should receive the survey in their District email in mid-late April.

Discounted Summer Camps for Round Rock ISD employees
District staff can receive a 15% discount when registering their child(ren) in Round Rock ISD’s summer enrichment activity camps.
In-person and virtual camps are held Monday through Thursday, beginning the first week of June, with availability through the end of July. Select from half-day camps, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and full-day camps, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., located at England, Herrington, Teravista elementary schools, and Pearson Ranch Middle School.
Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) At-A-Glance
HR Services is applying to become a local designation system for the TIA. The TIA application is due April 17. TIA was created by House Bill 3 (86R) to keep highly effective teachers in the classroom by significantly raising their salaries.
Employee Spotlight | Georgia Miller, Office of the Superintendent
Georgia Miller serves as the Executive Assistant for the Superintendent of Schools. Georgia and her husband moved their family to Round Rock in 1999 because of the great schools and the small town feel Round Rock still had at that time. Georgia’s first day of work at Round Rock ISD came quickly afterwards – on January 3, 2000 – her wedding anniversary.
