Round Rock ISD employees enjoy flexibility for time off from work with two types of paid leave annually: state personal and local leave.
Employees earn personal leave from the state, which accumulates annually, stays on your service record, and can be transferred to other eligible ISDs and Texas state agencies.
Additionally, the district awards employees paid local leave, previously known as local sick leave, each year, offering even more flexibility and support for well-being.
Both state personal and local leave can be used for non-discretionary purposes, such as personal or family illness, family emergencies, death in the family, or active military service, as well as for discretionary purposes, allowing employees to take personal time or days at their discretion, scheduled in advance.
Employees can check their State Personal and Local Leave balances in Employee Self-Service (ESS).
Please contact the Payroll department for questions regarding accrual balances and state personal and local days.
