Getting the flu takes you away from doing the things you like to do and the people you love, plus you’ll feel terrible. Don’t skip the flu shot because you got it last year or because you don’t have time. You’ll spend more time recovering from the flu than it takes for you to get the shot.
On Monday, Oct 10, and Tuesday, Oct 11, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Round Rock ISD Benefits invites you to a come-and-go benefits open enrollment and YOU Health and Well-being Fair at the Raymond E. Hartfield Performing Arts Center. The YOU fair will offer a HEB flu shot clinic, education about our low or no-cost benefits, and chances to win raffle prizes.
If you elect to get a flu shot at the YOU Health and Well-being Fair and are covered by the District’s health insurance plan, there are no out-of-pocket costs. Please present your insurance ID card to receive your free flu shot. Uninsured YOU fair clinic attendees can receive their shot for $44. The HEB Pharmacy flu shot clinic is open both days of the event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. They accept payment with a check and driver’s license number or exact cash.
Download and bring your completed HEB flu shot consent form in English | consent form in Spanish with you to the YOU Health and Well-being Fair.
If you do become ill, please stay home. We will miss you, but staying home from work or school for at least 24 hours and until your fever subsides without a fever-reducing medicine will help prevent spreading it to others.
Because it takes about two weeks for the shot to start protecting you, health experts recommend getting a flu shot by the end of October.
