Round Rock ISD’s community education and enrichment departments have merged. Together, their new name is Enrichment, and they are part of Future Readiness. Hope Scallan leads the enrichment department. She replaced Lisa Greinert as director when she retired in September.
This change offers Round Rock ISD student(s) elementary through high school new opportunities to participate in on-campus after-school enrichment clubs and classes.
In August, David Baird, a teacher from Caraway Elementary School, joined the department in the role of Enrichment coordinator. David is diving into his position and quickly becoming the subject matter expert for enrichment clubs, including UIL, robotics, and chess. These clubs build teamwork and individual self-esteem with competition events. Some may have a small fee. For questions about enrichment clubs offered at campuses, email the Enrichment Department.
Former enrichment coordinator Katharine Riedlinger didn’t go too far. You can find her in the Gattis Elementary School library, encouraging young gators to read.
Like before, on-campus after-school classes are fee-based opportunities for students to enjoy fun and interesting activities that help them discover new talents. The enrichment registrar can answer questions about enrichment classes.
