Heartfelt deeds earn Medina-Hidalgo Kindness Challenge win

Congratulations to Rosangel Medina-Hidalgo, a SPED Educational Assistant at Old Town Elementary, for being named the winner of Round Rock ISD’s Acts of Kindness Challenge!

Rosangel embraced the spirit of the challenge by spreading kindness in simple, heartfelt ways—donating books to a local Little Library, taking out a neighbor’s trash with her daughter, and giving up her spot in line to a busy mom with two babies.

“It felt amazing! Knowing I helped brighten someone’s day made it all worth it,” said Rosangel.

The district received an inspiring 252 entries in the Acts of Kindness Challenge. Herrington Elementary topped the leaderboard with 16.3% of the entries, followed closely by Old Town Elementary with 11.1%.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our community a kinder place—one thoughtful act at a time!
