About Transfers
The transfer process is used only for movement within the same category or position. Positions listed with an ** may only submit a transfer request to the same instructional level (i.e., elementary to elementary).
Employee groups eligible to apply for a transfer include Teachers, Teachers/Coaches, Athletic Trainers, Librarians, Counselors**, Assistant Principals** and Educational Assistants.
Educational Assistants may only use this application to transfer to the same instructional level and the same type of campus. This is due to the difference in minimum qualifications for these positions. Therefore, an Educational Assistant who wishes to change positions from one instructional level to another, such as from Educational Assistant II to Educational Assistant III, or from one type of campus to another, such as from a Title I campus to a non-Title I campus, must apply to a specific job posting along with external candidates.
Please remember that requesting a transfer does not guarantee an interview or transfer. Principals will schedule interviews with those individuals requesting a transfer who best meet the needs of their campuses and that fit their open positions.
Staff not offered a contract or a Letter of Reasonable Assurance for the 2024-2025 school year are not eligible for a transfer. In addition, HR Services will review and approve all transfer applicant recommendations made by the campus principals. All parties are notified when the process is complete.
Transfer requests may be submitted by completing an application at the district’s Employment Opportunities webpage through May 3, 2024. Because internal transfer postings are only available to current employees, they are only viewable by accessing Employee Self-Service (ESS). Once you log in to ESS (using your district credentials), click “Employment Opportunities” to view all available postings.
