Preventative check-ups and screenings can help find illnesses and medical problems early and improve your health and the health of everyone in your family.

District health plans cover health screenings and services provided by in-network doctors with no out-of-pocket costs like copays or coinsurance, even if you haven’t met your deductible.

Preventive care can include annual general wellness exams and diabetes, cancer, and depression screenings.

Blue Cross Blue Shield members aged 18 and over can access preventive services at no cost when visiting a doctor in your plan’s provider network.
