Leslie Price | FOCUS teacher, Grisham Middle School

Leslie is a FOCUS teacher for Grisham Middle School. Her role is to provide students and staff with guidance in evidence-based practices to assist them in being successful with all their social, emotional, and behavioral needs. She’s passionate about helping students and staff to provide them with guidance during difficult times.

She previously held the role of paraprofessional at Stony Point IB® World High School, Elementary DAEP, and Chandler Oaks Elementary School and was a special education records processor.

Although Leslie is beginning her seventh year in the District as an employee, her roots in Round Rock ISD run deep. Leslie is a former student and graduate, both her husband and brother are teachers and her son is a student.

In her spare time, Leslie is focusing on completing her Master’s degree. But when she’s not studying, she likes to craft and DIY. She particularly likes to sew, crochet, and knit, and is interested in learning and expanding her crafty skills in other areas.

Prior to her career in education, Leslie was a pastry chef and currently runs a home bakery. Her three secrets for making amazing chocolate chip cookies include: 1. brown the butter; 2. add a pinch of cinnamon; 3. let your dough rest for 24-72 hours before baking.
