Employee engagement survey | Your input matters to us

HR Services is committed to consistently evaluating our processes and programs in an effort to better serve the almost 7,000 employees in Round Rock ISD. We are working hard to create opportunities to gain valuable insight in order to better inform how we can enhance the employee experience in our District.

To keep improving, we must regularly review and analyze our systems. A productive way to listen to views at all levels of the organization is to conduct an employee engagement survey.
Next week, you will receive a survey invitation email from Upbeat, an independent third-party vendor. We urge you to participate to ensure that your experience is shared. Your responses are anonymous and should take between 10 and 20 minutes to complete. The survey window is open from October 31 to November 11.

We will be asking all staff to complete this survey twice this year, with the second administration coming in the spring. This engagement survey will replace the staff climate survey that has typically been sent out, as we feel that engagement surveys will provide us with more actionable feedback that will better inform improvement efforts across the District.

Your ideas, opinions, and suggestions are important, and this survey is a forum to share your feedback with leaders at the District level. Campus principals will also have access to global responses from staff at their campuses which will better allow them to determine trends and areas of opportunity specific to the needs of their campuses. When you share your experiences working for our District, we can identify problems, determine priorities, inform policy change recommendations and also enhance those programs that are meeting the needs of our employees.

We expect to receive survey results in December. After we’ve had a chance to analyze the data and discuss improvement measures, the findings will be shared with campuses and departments.

Thank you in advance for your participation. If you have questions about the survey or any other HR-related matter, please visit our HR Services Let’s Talk page.
