Lisa Marie Rosales has been with the District for eight years. She has held various roles on campuses and at the central administration office and is now the District’s Teacher Recruiter. Lisa Marie has a passion for connecting talented educators with campuses where they can make the most impact.

Employee Spotlight | Melissa Vasquez, Gifted and Advanced Academic Services

Melissa Vasquez is one of the Coordinators for Gifted and Advanced Academic Services. In her role, Melissa works primarily with elementary groups including ETAGS, cluster teachers, PYP coordinators, and elementary AVID. She coordinates elementary gifted identification and services, elementary examination for acceleration, and elementary program compliance monitoring. She also maintains the Gifted Program manual and coordinates gifted and talented elementary summer programming and testing.

Employee Spotlight | Becky Madsen LVN, Herrington Elementary School

Becky Madsen is a nurse at Herrington Elementary. She is responsible for the care and concern of student medical needs during the school day. She also responds to campus emergencies, conducts state-mandated screenings, and counsels students & families.

Becky has been employed by the District for 32 years. Through the years she has been the campus nurse at Live Oak, Berkman, Robertson, Gattis, Forest Creek, and Caldwell Heights elementary schools as well as Ridgeview Middle School.

Leslie is a Focus teacher for Grisham Middle School. Her role is to provide students and staff with guidance in evidence based practices to assist them in being successful with all their social, emotional and behavioral needs. She’s passionate about helping students and staff to provide them with guidance during difficult times.

Teresa is the District’s Prekindergarten Coordinator. Her priority is to support Prekindergarten administrators, teachers, and educational assistants to ensure that our students and their families benefit from a high quality PreK program. She’s also the well-received voice behind the District’s inclement weather recorded telephone messages.

Joy is a Campus Equity Coordinator for the Office of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion. Her role is to collaborate with campuses across the District and be a support to their work towards improving outcomes for each student. This will be her 9th year in the District, having previously served as a teacher, instructional coach and an assistant principal. Joy is a graduate of Westwood High School.

Employee Spotlight | Will Renfro, Special Education

Will is a member of the Special Education team. His role as the District’s transition specialist helps students and their families plan for life after graduating from Round Rock ISD and beginning their journey into adulthood. Will works with students to assess their interests and then matches them with employment or community participation opportunities.

After ten years of working in human resources and recruiting, Will became certified to teach through Region’s emergency certification program and began teaching at McNeil High School. This year marks Will’s 15th year with Round Rock ISD.
